Right subclavian steal associated with aberrant right subclavian artery.

چکیده
The subclavian steal syndrome is a well-recognized clinical and radiographic entity that involves the left subclavian artery far more commonly than the right. Atherosclerotic stenoses are the most common underlying cause [1-3]. Right subclavian stenosis with associated steal is markedly less common. Although an aberrant right subclavian artery is one of the most common anomalies of the great vessels [4, 5], its association with and contribution to the right subclavian steal syndrome in adults has not been elucidated. In this report, we describe two cases of aberrant right subclavian artery associated with right subclavian steal syndrome.

Right subclavian steal syndrome in a patient with aberrant right subclavian artery, common carotid trunk and hypoplastic left vertebral artery
Introduction: Subclavian steal syndrome refers to the reversal of vertebral blood flow in the setting of proximal subclavian or innominate artery severe stenosis or occlusion resulting in the symptoms of vertebrobasilar insufficiency related to exercise of the upper extremities. It is more common on the left side. Case report: We reported a case of subclavian steal syndrome on the right side in...

Dissecting aneurysm is the condition produced by separation of the layers of the arterial wall by circulating blood. Although rare, the coexistence of aortic dissection and aberrant right subclavian artery may be catastrophic. In this study we report the endovascular treatment of a patient with thoracic aorta dissection associated with aberrant right subclavian artery. Aortic clamping proximal ...

The use of the Amplatzer plug to treat dysphagia lusoria caused by an aberrant right subclavian artery.
Emerging technology with endovascular techniques has expanded our armamentarium to treat the aberrant right subclavian artery. We describe a hybrid technique using an Amplatzer plug in combination with a carotid subclavian bypass to treat a patient with dysphagia lusoria.

Aberrant right subclavian artery aneurysms are rare but demonstrate a propensity toward rupture; thus, early elective repair is mandated. Novel endovascular modalities are available to offer less-invasive treatment for a patient population with increasing comorbidities. We report a case of a 65-year-old woman with an aberrant right subclavian artery aneurysm causing dysphagia lusoria. The aneur...
